SUN-sational Saturday

Spent a gorgeous Saturday hiking in the beautiful (finally!) Maine weather. Took Connor along with us and enjoyed his company tremendously.
He is just like his big brother in that he NEVER POSES NORMALLY!!!

Connor looked like a gazelle leaping all over the rocks.

He said he had an OK day but we think he really LOVED it.

What's not to love? Warm sun, fresh ocean breeze and very few people.

Never too old to go exploring in the tide pools.

Cuz you never know what you might find.

We were practically the only people there. Saw a few others (and a random dog) but it was mostly just us.

Connor appreciated the view.

Unbelievable how tall my baby is getting. 6 feet NOT including the Mohawk!

Twomey boys do NOT know how to pose like normal people. Seriously.

He led, we followed. He said it was the rule.

The day was perfect. Anytime we get to hang out in a stress free environment with our kids is a good time. Wished CJ could have been with us but since he couldn't, we bought him a treat in Freeport so he would know we were thinking of him. :)
Ended the evening watching this:

I was floored by it. Honestly felt like I ran a race after watching. Took my breath away.
And left me more determined than ever to meet my fundraising goal.
I HAVE TO SUCCEED.
I have no other choice.
It's just that important.
PLEASE donate if you haven't already. PLEASE???

How neat that you had that time to spend with your son. Sometimes hanging with the parents can be the least favorite thing to do but it looks like he had a wonderful time. Loved the pictures too.

I saw that movie when it came out. I put it all together just minues before the finale. Amazing movie.

Looks like a great day to me! One day, I swear, I am going to get up there and see Maine. It will be in July, of course, when it's 97 degrees here...

Glad you enjoyed the day! Loved the pictures -especially of him on the bridge. Never have seen Seven Pounds - might have to check into that.

Sounds like you had a great day. I'm still recovering from looking at the Japanese skirts!!

Looks like a fantastic day!
I, too loved the movie - not sure what all the criticism I heard was about.

We've already discovered you get your humour from your father ... I wonder where Connor gets HIS (posing) quirkiness from? Hmmmmmm?

The pics are BEAUTEMOUS. What lovely scenery. Along with my favorite mohawk'd person. I cannot believe how tall he is and how grown-up he looks. He is so, so handsome. But he needs a sandwich. Or an M&M. At least TWO Pop Tarts. :)

Both of those boys are camera shy. Afraid to not clown for the camera. But you caught Connor's good looks anyway. Mom's are good at that.

Those photos reminded me of Ogunquit when I visited there back in the '80ies. I loved walking along Marginal Way, the path along the coast. The rocks are beautiful.

So Seven Pounds was that good? I swear, I have NO idea what that movie is about. Not a clue, AT ALL!!! It'll have to be one of those I watch when I'm alone, and then get blown away by it, and wish I had someone that watched it with me.

YOU WILL REACH YOUR GOAL!!!

SEARCH AWAY!!!! (perhaps for a Prada bag for your favorite blogger?)
